[B&A] Skin rejuvenation - A return to Korean skin care

I’m in my early 20’s with normal skin, no problem with occasional acne and pore clogging issues. I have used Korean skincare in the past when my skin was very active and oily but in the past year due to conditions and my overall skin tone I have been very careless in my product selection. In the past 3 months specifically a combination of over exfoliating, harsh cleansers, improper hydration (so called hydrating products that absorb all the water from my skin and my boredom I use even more 😭) and constantly changing products has left my skin dehydrated, dull, with clogged pores, a damaged skin barrier, and an incredibly aged look in a short amount of time.

A few weeks ago I found a random addition to Style Korean for their first anniversary sale and decided to check it out. Since I’m not an expert in ingredients anymore and I’m not willing to spend a lot of money on blind guesses like I’ve done so far, I decided to get their special Pharmacy Box program after discussing my skin condition and alternatives with AI. (But really, 18 full-size favorite drugstore products for $69 are pretty hard to beat so it was a no-brainer)

I decided to organize my schedule as follows:

Zeroid Pimprove Gel Cleanser

I am from Rice Toner

AM: Anua Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum (not in the box itself but I got it as a freebie) PM: Genabelle PDRN Vita Toning Ampoule

23 years old Badecasil P cream

Dr G Green Mild Up Sun+

All Day: COSRX Ceramide Skin Barrier Moisturizing Mist (very satisfying spray)

One of the below 2 times a week:

Sungboon Editor Deep Collagen Silk Peptide Deep Ampoule

Dr. Lienjang 49 Toning Gel Mask

There were other good and promising products in the box (namely the Rejuran viral turnover ampoule) but I decided to save the richer/stronger formulas for later.

As for the results I think the pictures speak for themselves. I tried to get as much detail as possible in photo 1, while photo 2 is taken naturally, and photo 3 is makeup (I had a big problem where my makeup wouldn’t stick to my skin, it would peel and separate or after a few hours it would literally wipe off with any touch. It got to the point where I started painting spots on my face to hide how hidden it was). I tried to get the same lighting and angle in all the photos (the makeup photo has different lighting but that’s the best I could find)

Overall I am very surprised how my skin was able to bounce back with the right products after months of starvation. I miss that feeling when skin looks dewy not because it’s temporarily moist but because it’s nourished and stays glowing all day.

Of the products I think I was most surprised by the Badecasil P cream which allows for a gentle soak while being very light and hydrating. When I first tried the Cosrx mist and Dr. G’s sunscreen I found it a little greasy (I usually hate oil) but I was surprised that it was completely absorbed after a few minutes. In fact, this is a little greasy for Dr. G sunscreen provides the best base for applying foundation and doesn’t make it dry (the problem before was that my skin would literally drink all the water from the foundation and overproduce its oil).

I can’t really go into the details of every product but I’m so glad I made the switch. Honestly half of the products I wouldn’t have bought if it wasn’t for this box and I’m amazed at how well and quickly everything worked for me.
