I’ve been thinking about this for a while but I’d like to share my skin care journey, the products I’ve been loving to other skin care enthusiasts like me! As someone who suffers from hormonal acne (especially the chin area), rosacea, and very sensitive skin + eczema I always feel like I’m hitting the trifecta of everything possible and it makes skin care so difficult 🫠I’m going to start a series of reviews starting with each skin care category, and most of my approach are Asian brands, and I hope people find this useful. For now, I’ll start with the Cleaner! Side note: I am sensitive to Niacinamide so I try to avoid it unless it has a very low % in the ingredients list. Please ignore the Bioderma in the picture (I forgot it wasn’t an Asian brand 😆). I’m also doing this on my phone so please bear with me for any formatting issues. ——— My current cleansing routine is only at night, I only use water and a toner pad in the morning. (1) Fancl Cleansing Oil 9.5/10 — everything I’ve ever wanted in a cleansing oil. Unscented and non-greasy, it does its job really well and I find it cleans better than my previous one as it helps clean out my clogged pores. I find that my whiteheads have reduced since I started using this. I’ve gone through 3-4 bottles at this point and I’m a monster about how much I use lol, I apply liberally. The Holy Grail! (2) Pair Acne Cleansing Foam 2/10 – Very exfoliating for my sensitive skin. I felt that my barrier was slowly being compromised and my rosacea was about to return. No about me. (3) Bifesta Cleansing makeup wipes 1/10 — another combo I’ve had to use for emergencies when I can’t wash my face. It doesn’t smell good and I suspect it was triggering some of my breakouts. It bit my face one time. It’s also not the most environmentally conscious option. (4) Torriden Balanced Cleansing Foam 6/10 — I love almost the entire Balance line, and I don’t use this every day because my skin can’t tolerate too much salicylic acid. However, I use this once/twice a week for 30 seconds on my face to help keep my acne at bay and it does its job more. If I use it too often, my rosacea will come back and I have to dial my routine. (5) Haruharu wonder cleanser 9.5/10 — omg I love this. This is my first tube and I’m almost finished but this is one of those cleanses where I can see improvement almost immediately. My pores are better, my skin felt satisfied. I use this every day now and I can see why so many people love it. My holy grail, it’s also Fragrance. (6) Round Lab Birch Juice Cleanser and (not photos) Dokdo Cleanser 5/10 — both feel weak to me. It didn’t really make a difference to me and I felt like other cleansers. I bring this when I travel because I’ve been getting the smaller size of it for free. Smell free. (7) Krave Beauty Matcha Cleanser 4.5/10 — another average cleanser but I’m deducting half a point because for the price point and ROI, I don’t think it’s worth your money. ——— Wow, we have a lot to take out. Hope it’s not too much and useful for you! I will try to write using my laptop next time for better formatting. Posted by /u/ChallengeNew9779 |
