He hopes to work on both his footwork and accuracy this offseason.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;In these moments, you feel like you&#8217;ve let your team down,&#8221;<\/em> Williams told Courtney Cronin. <em>&#8220;It&#8217;s a good lesson for us; the first time to be in this situation for me and for us as a team. I&#8217;m excited for the future. We&#8217;ll be here for a little bit. I&#8217;m excited about it. I&#8217;m excited to grow. I&#8217;m excited to be able to go back and watch this. I&#8217;m very excited to learn, I&#8217;m able to continue growing next year, I was able to bounce back and I was able to continue with us next year. as a team and as an organization so we can continue to grow.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We had a good year,&#8221;<\/em> Bears S <strong><strong>Kevin Byard<\/strong><\/strong>    noted.<em> &#8220;No one started the season that picked us to be where we were. To be in a position where we almost won the game at the end, it didn&#8217;t work for us this year, but we&#8217;re very proud of the team. We have no reason to hang our heads. We don&#8217;t believe in moral victory, but at the same time, this is a special team and the culture is established, and [we] we expect to be successful in the future.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;When you have a season like this, when you&#8217;re having a lot of fun all season, when you&#8217;re winning a lot of games, you can&#8217;t let all that go to waste &#8230; after one season-ending loss,&#8221;<\/em> CB<strong> <strong>Jaylon Johnson<\/strong><\/strong>    added. <em>&#8220;We&#8217;ve had a hell of a ride, and each man has done well. We can be very thankful and appreciative of what this season has done and how we&#8217;ve grown as men and grown as a team.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I know you&#8217;re feeling it because we didn&#8217;t win and there were some turnovers there, and you&#8217;re feeling it,&#8221;<\/em> HC <strong>Ben Johnson<\/strong> said Williams. <em>&#8220;But he&#8217;s one of those guys I&#8217;m talking about who will remember this feeling, and he&#8217;ll be stronger from it.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Athletic&#8217;s Matt Schneidman, citing a league source, writes that the Packers&#8217; president <strong>The policy of Ed<\/strong> he didn&#8217;t take the Packers playoff into account when deciding on HC <strong>Matt LaFleur<\/strong>&#8216;s the future. Instead, Policy relies on the seven years he has worked with LaFleur in total, since he was part of the board that hired him. <\/li>\n<li>Per Schneidman, Policy believes LaFleur has a knack for team and player development, especially at quarterback. <\/li>\n<li>About all the furor about LaFleur and GM <strong>Brian Gutekunst<\/strong>Their future due to not getting extensions last summer, including Schneiderman who has repeatedly reported that this season could be important for LaFleur, a source told Schneiderman that the Policy has been heard. <em>&#8220;very good&#8221;<\/em> about both LaFleur and Gutekunst staying in Green Bay for a long time but wanted to keep an open mind until he had to make a decision.<\/li>\n<li>Schneiderman added that he was told that Policy might have changed his mind, but it would take something <em>&#8220;very important&#8221;<\/em> to do that, and it&#8217;s clear that the slump to end the season didn&#8217;t go well. According to Schneiderman, Policy didn&#8217;t spend much time debating whether to extend LaFleur after the season ended, and the delay was about how the negotiations progressed. <\/li>\n<li>Schneiderman notes that the Policy does not change the reporting structure, as both LaFleur and Gutekunst report to him instead of LaFleur reporting to Gutekunst. The policy also will not allow any personnel changes. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vikings GM <strong>Kwesi Adofo-Mensah<\/strong> posed questions about the state of the franchise and the idea that QB <strong><strong>JJ McCarthy<\/strong><\/strong>    may not be the team&#8217;s quarterback of the future.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;It&#8217;s easy to go and be a revisionist with the results,&#8221;<\/em> Adofo-Mensah said, via Kevin Seifert. <em>&#8220;But thinking about what we had at the time, I still understand why we did what we did. The results probably didn&#8217;t play out the way we wanted. Ultimately, I think at the end of the day, we wouldn&#8217;t have won. [player acquisitions] better in certain areas. And I don&#8217;t want to say individually, in terms of a particular player, but doing better, knowing what the room was like playing, experience wise, and I really put together a better mix of people, a collection on that team. That&#8217;s probably what I&#8217;m most focused on.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;And I think one of those goals is to make playoff runs and do different things like that,&#8221;<\/em> Adofo-Mensah added. <em>&#8220;I think he has the character and the ability to be a person and do that in our organization. When I say that in 2026, that kind of commits us to a certain place. The way we set up this team &#8230; to give us a lot of shots [a Super Bowl] because you never know when there will be a year when the field feels a little more open and you can do that. \u2026 It&#8217;s my job to bring that deep and competitive room that we talked about to the Vikings.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vikings will not retain OL coach <strong>Chris Cooper<\/strong> as his contract expires, he will be looking for a replacement.
