Chicago won the NFC North, beat the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs and took big steps as an organization trying to get out of its own way.

This season will be remembered for a few different things. For one, the nickname “Cardiac Bears” was self-explanatory. They like to take victory from the hands of defeat at the last second. And in their last game of the season, they almost pulled it off again.

Head coach Ben Johnson has made this season incredibly memorable. If he goes on to win this team a Super Bowl down the road, he’ll be a legend in this town forever. People will also remember that first year as a building block to help them reach the top.

This game against the Rams had many memorable moments in Chicago as well. These five stand out above all others:

1. Caleb Williams TD pass to DJ Moore

The Bears got on the board on the first play of the second quarter. Caleb Williams beat DJ Moore for what turned out to be an amazing song. Moore’s talent was on full display with this one. This point was important because the Bears answered the Rams’ score with a fourth down to tie the game.

2. Kyler Gordon stops Matthew Stafford in his tracks with a sack

One of the keys to staying in the game was keeping Matthew Stafford and his all-world offense at bay. Kyler Gordon’s sack of Stafford in this game took out Los Angeles’ punting unit, which was a big game at the time.

3. DJ Moore does an amazing one-handed catch

This DJ Moore game didn’t have the same impact as some of the other games on the list this season, but it was so incredible that it had to be played. How did he bring that ball in with just one hand and a flurry like that? This is proof that NFL wide receivers, especially elite ones like Moore, are incredibly talented.

4. Caleb Williams’ incredible run to elude multiple defenders

When the Bears tried to tie the game late, they needed magic from their star quarterback. This game wasn’t the best, but it was close to the top. Somehow, Williams used his feet to make the play, get free, and gain more yardage. This capability is well developed by 2025, and will improve over time.

5. Caleb Williams’ spectacular TD pass to Cole Kmet

The “fourth-and-8” play will live in Bears history forever. It was a spectacular performance by Caleb Williams to help beat the Packers in the playoffs. In a way, this one was just as amazing. After a long running back, Williams threw it up and hit Cole Kmet in what turned out to be the game-tying touchdown. They didn’t close the deal in overtime, which wouldn’t have allowed this game to reach the one against Green Bay, but it proves beyond a doubt that Williams is an incredible talent who will help the Bears win big in the years to come.

This article originally appeared on Bears Wire: Bears vs. Rams: 5 games highlighted in divisional playoff loss

The Chicago Bears lost 20-17 in overtime to the Los Angeles Rams in separate playoffs, ending their impressive season.
