The 2026 NBA All-Star starters are set after weeks of fans, media and players voting on the top players to represent their conference and country. The palaces will be announced on Feb 1.<\/p>\n

In the new “United States vs. World” format, three teams will be formed, consisting of eight men’s teams — two of which will be made up of American players and a third of international players.<\/p>\n

Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo led the fan vote in their respective conferences, and several new faces made their way into the first All-Star situation, including Cade Cunningham and Tyrese Maxey. NBA All-Star Weekend will take place on February 15 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

What did the voters get?<\/h2>\n

It goes with three security guards in Mpumalanga who start. One of the many changes in the program this year was the removal of positions from the ballot, and the guard group in Mpumalanga was very strong as the power forward Jayson Tatum was sidelined. The voters could have removed the tallest players from the roster out of tradition, but they wisely chose against it. — Kevin Pelton<\/i><\/p>\n\n

What did the voters do?<\/h2>\n

It’s hard to complain about Stephen Curry being voted the starter. He’s undoubtedly an All-Star and earned the right to start for the sixth year in a row, but so did Anthony Edwards, who got my media vote. Edwards is averaging a career high 29.6 PPG and has matched Curry in terms of efficiency this season.<\/p>\n

I also voted for Donovan Mitchell in the East, where he probably got a little credit because the Cleveland Cavaliers have been disappointing this season. That’s not because of Mitchell, who is playing as well as ever. Still, both Edwards and Mitchell will make the All-Star game and could end up starting with the Americans split into two teams, so these are more arguments than real issues. – Pelton<\/i><\/p>\n\n

Which international duo are you most excited to see perform together?<\/h2>\n

Antetokounmpo and Victor Wembanyama. Giannis is such a unique combination of size and explosiveness that everyone calls him the Greek Freak…but when he stands next to Wemby, he looks like a guard. Seeing Freak and Alien together in an All-Star format, I expect to see dunks from every angle. Of course, Wemby also has one of the best shooting strokes in the league, so Giannis breaking down the defense and hitting the big man with a 3-pointer should be good too.<\/p>\n

And on defense, if they choose to play anywhere, the rim protection could be amazing. Styles puts up a fight, but Giannis and Wemby are both very competitive, and if they clash, it could lead to All-Star magic. — Andre Snellings<\/i><\/p>\n
