The new football president Matt Ryan<\/strong><\/strong> he rejoins a franchise with no front office experience to lean on. Ryan points out that being a former franchise quarterback has given him a unique experience interacting with the head coach and front office, which should serve him well. <\/p>\n “When you are a team player for a long time, your interaction with the head coach and the meetings you sit in their office and talk about all the different things that are going on with the football team and the decisions that need to be made or changes in the program or the season maybe to change the way, it is different from other players,”<\/em> Ryan said about PFT. “I feel like I’m very familiar with those conversations. I feel like I’ve done it with a couple of different guys that I have a lot of respect for and I’ve seen it in a lot of different ways. I think the same thing can happen on the front office side. The longer I’ve been here, there were a lot of conversations. It wasn’t, ‘I was going to be a part of the decision,’ but I was asked those things, so I was asked those things. I’m going to let you know what I’m doing now. I have a lot to gain \u2014 there’s no doubt about that, I’ve talked to a lot of people from around the league, who have stepped up as players and I can listen to the noise in the background and not panic and carry on … I will lean on those I feel like I have strong relationships inside and outside the building that will help me in this role.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Parks OT Zach Tom<\/strong> he will undergo surgery soon in the hope that he will be able to return to training next season.<\/p>\n “It was probably one of the hardest decisions I had to make in my life. But he is headed in the right direction.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n As for being immersed in practice with a second-year WR Xavier Legette<\/strong> and CB Trevin Wallace<\/strong>Morgan said he still trusts both players and wants to be patient with them. <\/p>\n “I feel good about them,”<\/em> Morgan said. “I think we’re all quick to judge these guys. Maybe they’re not developing as fast as the outside wants, but I think you’ve got to be patient with these guys. I think you’ve got to let them develop, I think you’ve got to let them grow. I think Trevin’s 22 years old.
