However, Shamet did not return to the starting lineup, as it were <strong>Miles McBride<\/strong> who entered Brunson&#8217;s place.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; New York was able to get off to a much better start by coming off one of the most offensive games of the season on Wednesday in Sacramento. Every starter recorded a bucket and knocked down their first six shots from behind the arc to open a quick double-digit lead (15-5).<\/p>\n<p>Shamet was the first man off the bench midway through the first, and immediately knocked down his first shot.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The Knicks pushed the lead to 17 points, but <strong>Karl-Anthony Towns<\/strong> he was forced to the bench after picking up two early fouls, and Golden State was able to turn the tide. The home team used a 13-2 run to cut the deficit to five at the end of the first quarter (35-30).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Towns had five points and a game-high six rebounds before being benched. The big man continued his dominance in the second, picking up four more boards and back-to-back buckets to help maintain a slim lead midway through the back-and-forth quarter (46-44).<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The Warriors took their first lead minutes later, and managed to keep it in the third going into the break (62-59). <strong>Jimmy Butler<\/strong> led by 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting, KAT recorded a first half double-double, and <strong>Mikal Bridges<\/strong> leading the Knicks by 12 points.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Steph Curry<\/strong> he didn&#8217;t make threes in the first half (0-for-5), but it didn&#8217;t take long for him to cut that third-down swing. The All-Star sharpshooter hit his first two free throws coming out of the break as part of Golden State&#8217;s 13-2 loss, helping them push to an 11-point lead (78-67).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Moses Moody<\/strong> he added another triple, giving him seven on the night and a season-high 21 points.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Every time it looked like the Knicks were ready to regain momentum, the Warriors responded right back. New York just couldn&#8217;t get back-to-back stops when they needed them most, and found themselves trailing by 12 points going into the final period.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Curry&#8217;s big second half continued into the fourth, but the Knicks refused to quit, and used a 10-2 run to cut the deficit back to nine points with more than four minutes left. Golden State&#8217;s hot shooting could not be slowed down, however, and they held on for the victory.<\/p>\n<p>The Warriors shot 54 percent from the field and 44 percent from behind the arc in the game.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; McBride led the way with 25 points, Anunoby had 25, Bridges had 21, and Towns had 17 and 20 boards.
