Owner of Baltimore<strong> Steve Bisciotti<\/strong> he said he had made up his mind before talking to Jackson. <\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think the players had a big role in my decision,&#8221;<\/em> Bisciotti said, via Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. <em>&#8220;My decision on Monday was right. When I got off the phone with Lamar, I told him that my decision was well planned. &#8216;But when I hang up, I don&#8217;t want you to think that the decision was reasonable.&#8217; That was on Monday night.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Bisciotti said there are people in the organization who prefer to keep Harbaugh, explaining that he feels they have not been successful in recent years. <\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I just thought it was something that 10 years ago, we won the third most games in the NFL and yet, people said we were underclassmen,&#8221;<\/em> Bisciotti said. <em>\u201cWe were, and we had to own that.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As for whether Jackson will play a role in deciding their next coach, Bisciotti said the quarterback will have <em>&#8220;a lot to say&#8221;<\/em> but he will not be strong in his final choice. <\/p>\n<p><em>    &#8220;You say a lot, but he doesn&#8217;t have power. I have power. They have ideas, and I want them all. I care a lot about my players, but I can&#8217;t give them power,&#8221;<\/em> Bisciotti said. <\/p>\n<div class=\"nfl-c-body-part nfl-c-body-part--text\">\n<ul>\n<li>The cost of TE shares <strong>Pat Freiermuth<\/strong> he was disappointed about his role in the case this year, but he was proud that he did not talk about himself: <em>&#8220;I can say that I am disappointed by the lack of opportunities that have been given to me.&#8221;<\/em> (Nick Farabaugh)<\/li>\n<li>Freiermuth doesn&#8217;t want to go, though: <em>&#8220;I&#8217;m a Steeler. I want to be here, and I want to see this thing right.&#8221;<\/em> (Farabaugh)<\/li>\n<li>Per Josina Anderson, former Steelers HC <strong>Mike Tomlin<\/strong> he had considered leaving Pittsburgh before the season started, and it&#8217;s believed he didn&#8217;t feel flattered by the speculation around town that he should be fired. <\/li>\n<li>Owner of the Steelers <strong>Art Rooney II<\/strong> about trading Tomlin: <em>&#8220;Mike indicated that he didn&#8217;t expect to coach, at least in the immediate future. &#8230; If something like that comes up, we&#8217;ll deal with it when it comes up. But right now, it doesn&#8217;t seem to be on his radar.&#8221;<\/em> (Pellisero)<\/li>\n<li>Rooney to Tomlin: <em>&#8220;The important thing is that we were always arguing with Mike, and that&#8217;s what matters.&#8221;<\/em> (Pryor)<\/li>\n<li>Rooney II says it was Tomlin&#8217;s decision to resign:<em> &#8220;I wasn&#8217;t shocked, but I wasn&#8217;t expecting this conversation either. When you get to this stage of the job &#8230; you know it&#8217;s coming.&#8221;<\/em> (Pryor)<\/li>\n<li>Rooney II:<em> &#8220;Of course I was determined to run again next year with Mike. That&#8217;s what I was waiting to talk about yesterday.&#8221;<\/em> (Rapoport)<\/li>\n<li>Tomlin departs from more than a <em>&#8220;a decision related to family rather than a decision related to football,<\/em>&#8221; by Rooney. (Farabaugh)<\/li>\n<li>Rooney II says he thinks Tomlin&#8217;s decision to leave will affect the QB <strong>Aaron Rodgers<\/strong>&#8216; the future:<em> &#8220;Aaron came here to play for Mike. I think it will affect his decision.&#8221;<\/em> (Pryor)<\/li>\n<li>The next Steelers coach will be hired from outside the organization, as Rooney notes that none of the current staff will be promoted to the position.
