And now New York will be able to watch the beginning of the kind of relationship that Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin enjoyed when they chased Super Bowls together.
“All of our coaches have him at the top of our list,” said Dart.

The defensive coordinator position is very intriguing because Harbaugh has connections to several options with DC experience. Zach Orr was Harbaugh’s defensive coordinator the past two seasons, but that didn’t go particularly well. If Orr doesn’t get the Giants’ DC job, he could be the inside linebackers coach, a role he played before being promoted to coordinator in Baltimore.

Anthony Weaver spent the past two seasons as the Dolphins’ defensive coordinator after spending three years on Harbaugh’s team as the defensive line coach. Weaver also held stints as an assistant coach and game coordinator in Baltimore. Dennard Wilson spent the 2023 season as the Ravens’ defensive line coach before being hired as the Titans’ defensive coordinator. Wilson, who was the top target for the Giants’ DC job in 2024, should be available after the Titans hired Robert Saleh as their new coach.
Giants request OC interview with Ravens assistant coach Willie Taggart | Pro Football Talk
Their first goal is one that coach Harbaugh knows well. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that they have requested an interview with Ravens head coach/running backs coach Willie Taggart.
Taggart joined the Ravens as a position coach in 2023 and added the title of head coach in 2025. Taggart has strong ties to the Harbaugh family. He was with John in Baltimore. He actually played for QB Jack Harbaugh at Western Kentucky and coached with him there. And he trained with Jim at Stanford.

Why John Harbaugh hired the NY Giants means everything to Joe Schoen | A record
Joe Schoen takes nothing for granted.
This is how the game is played these days: it’s hard for those who want to say they’re invested in the New York Giants from the outside to really appreciate what an invested person looks like.
For years, John Mara was mocked for his emotional outbursts caught on television during games that represented some of the most frustrating results in the club’s recent history. When the team’s owner and president talked about his anger and how no one felt the pain of the Giants’ struggles more than he did, he wasn’t making excuses — he was right.

Dart’s start to the season was stronger than his finish, a fact compounded by his defensive failures while trying to get the Giants to win. That part of his game must improve if he is to enjoy a long career. Important No. 1 going into 2026, but there are plenty of examples that suggest Dart could be the reliable signal-caller the Giants lack for a long time. He’s already shown a creative nature that makes him difficult to defend as a rusher and passer, an accurate arm, a willingness to fight for good gains and a competitive fire reminiscent of Baker Mayfield’s moxie. That last trait could produce a flurry of performance, but for the Giants, they have to embrace that passion. Dart will need to improve when it comes to his decision-making as a passer, but much of his improvement will depend on who John Harbaugh taps as his offensive coordinator. If the Darts get an experienced playmaker with the ability to put his scheme into his quarterback, a good product could emerge, especially once he gets Cam Skattebo and Malik Nabers back from injury. That is, if Dart can avoid his illness.

2026 NFL offseason WR market: Free agents, trades | ESPN.com
The player that comes to mind as a comparison to Robinson is Curtis Samuel, another second-round pick who had his best season just before hitting free agency. In 2021, Samuel signed a three-year, $34.5 million contract with Washington on the open market. That average salary of $11.5 million would translate to $19.2 million at the 2026 cap rate. That might be a bit high, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Robinson land a deal worth north of $15 million a year. And since the Giants wanted to surround Dart with playmakers while he was on a rookie contract, I could see GM Joe Schoen justifying that kind of move.

Wan’Dale Robinson is a high-volume inside-outside receiver who formed a strong relationship with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart this past season. He caught 92 passes for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns. Big Blue will have approximately $1.8 million in cap space entering the 2026 offseason. Under Harbaugh, its roster will change, possibly leading to cuts and trades. That said, don’t be surprised if Schoen wants to re-sign one of his late draft picks that could help Dart’s development.
