Player Ratings: Cavs at 76ers – Evan Mobley wins with go-ahead dunk

The Cleveland Cavaliers pulled off a surprise in Philly. This was equally stressful and rewarding.
All grades are based on our average expectations for each player.
Donovan Mitchell
13 points, 12 assists, 9 reboundss, 6 converts

Mitchell was silent most of the time in this game. He attempted just five shots in the first half as Philly focused much of their defensive attention on him. Mitchell did a great job of countering this by being a playmaker instead of pressing the issue. He finally found a little rhythm in the second half, which was enough for the Cavs to win.
I would have given Mitchell another grade if he had taken better care of the ball. Six turnovers is too few.

Jaylon Tyson
39 points, 4 assists, 5 reboundss
Tyson was amazing tonight. The highest score in the task is absurd efficiency (13-17 shots). This is the type of performance that Tyson has repeated over and over again this season, to lesser degrees. The more he proves he can score at this level, the more valuable Tyson becomes as a prospect. This could be a future All-Star level player.
If his red-hot shooting wasn’t enough, Tyson also dished out a game-winning assist. A cool, calm, and collected approach from a player who showed no fear in his second season.

Evan Mobley
15 points, 5 reboundss, 4 helps4 blocks, 1 steal
I wish we could have seen more of Mobley, considering the injuries to Darius Garland and Sam Merrill. But Philly did a good job of keeping Mobley away from the paint. That is, until the end, when Mobley caught the ball and threw it home for the win.

Tyrese Proctor
13 points, 2 rebounds1 assist, 2 steals, 11 minutes
Proctor took his chance today. He was efficient at 5-8 from the floor and should be playing ahead of Lonzo Ball, at this point.
Distance: A+
Craig Porter Jr.
2 points, 11 assists, 3 reboundss
Porter may not be a shooting threat, but he still finds ways to succeed. He matched his career high with 11 assists and grabbed 2 offensive rebounds.
Distance: B+
Andre Hunter
16 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block
Hunter is starting to trend in the right direction. He’s been really good lately (7-13 tonight) and threw down a monster dunk in the fourth quarter. It took him a minute, but this is what we’ve come to expect from Hunter this season.

Jarrett Allen
10 points, 7 rebounds, 1 come on, 1 steal
Allen was shy tonight. At least, compared to how he played in his previous game with Philly. He did a good job of keeping Embiid off the glass, but he could be overly assertive.

And Qwan Tomlin
9 points, 5 reboundss
Tomlin is an excellent host. You know this now. He threw down a couple of loud mounds today and gave Cleveland a big boost when they needed it the most.

Lonzo Ball
0 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal
I don’t know man.

It’s hard to see Ball changing his season at this point. He no longer has juice as a graphic designer. I don’t think he’s played well enough to stay ahead of any other guard on the roster yet.
