NFC Notes: Fred Warner, Davante Adams, Sam Darnold, 49ers, Rams, Seahawks

49ers LB Fred Warner designated to return to injured reserve this week. When asked about his availability, the defender said that he continues to take things day by day.
“We take it day by day,” Warner said, via Nick Wagoner of ESPN. “I think they said last week they weren’t going to open my window, and then my window is open. So, we’re just taking it day by day.”
Warner said the team decided to appoint him to return after direct communication with his doctors, but he will not return as he is ready to play.
“Everything so far has been direct communication with the doctors, trainers, everyone involved in my surgery,” Warner said. “Nothing has been done so far just because, ‘Hey man, let’s just go out and do it.’ … Everything is scientifically based, right? So whenever you go out on the football field … that’s what this game is about, it’s a violent game. But at the same time, I’m not going to go there and put myself in more danger if I’m not ready.”
49ers DC Robert Saleh he is glad that Warner’s strength is back at work.
“Just pure energy,” Saleh said. “Fred is a great energy giver, so just being with him is amazing.”
Rams WR Davante Adams he is enjoying his time in Los Angeles after his difficult time with the Raiders and Jets. When it appears in The Stephen A. Smith ShowAdams said he told other receivers like Puka Nacua again Konata Mumpfield that the grass is not greener elsewhere.
“I’m already doing that now, especially when I’m talking to these guys – Konata Mumpfield and some of the guys in the reception room now. Even Puka,” Adams said. “I said, “Look, man, I don’t care what you saw me doing, selling by force, I ended up playing with an old friend no matter what. I don’t care what coach you wanted to play for. I always tell them the same thing over here in this building. I’m like, ‘Hey man, it doesn’t get any greener than this.’ I jumped in and tried a few things. That’s exactly what my heart told me to do. I make some important decisions with my wife, my family, and even the clubs.”
Adams also insisted that he told the players to stay in Los Angeles.
“After being here in this Rams facility, this organization, I just let them know, ‘It doesn’t get any greener than this. Whatever it is, I don’t care what you have to do, make sure you live in this building and enjoy a building like this. Take my word for it,'” Adams said.
